Square footage calculator
Measure turf area before you buy or apply anything
A real lawn measurement helps avoid guessing from lot size. Draw only the turf you maintain, then leave out the house, driveway, beds, patios, sidewalks, pools, and wooded areas.
How to use it
- Search your address and pick the matching result.
- Zoom until the lawn edges are clear.
- Use the polygon tool for curved areas or rectangle tool for simple sections.
- Draw front, back, and side yards as separate areas if that is easier.
- Copy the final square footage when you are done.
Why square footage matters
Most lawn products, seed, soil amendments, and service quotes are based on treated square feet. Measuring the lawn itself is more useful than using parcel size because parcel size includes buildings and hard surfaces.
Accuracy tips
Draw slightly inside the hard edge of driveways and sidewalks, use multiple smaller shapes for broken-up lawns, and edit points after drawing if the satellite image is angled or shaded.
