Start with the label
Extension pesticide safety guidance is consistent: the label controls use. If the label prohibits a mixture, rate, turf species, site, or condition, the calculator does not make it safe.
Compatibility matters
Montana State Extension and Nebraska Extension both describe jar tests as a way to check physical compatibility before mixing pesticides at tank scale. This is especially important when labels do not provide clear tank-mix instructions or when water quality may affect the mix.
