Mowing and water
UGA Bermuda calendar guidance lists common Bermuda around 1 to 2 inches and hybrid Bermuda around 1 to 1.5 inches, with a higher height during hot weather. Remove no more than one-third of the height at a mowing. The same calendar lists about 1 inch of water per week if rainfall is lacking.
Fertility and pH
Bermuda responds strongly to nitrogen during active growth, but rates should follow a soil test and calendar window. UGA lists an ideal pH range of 5.5 to 6.5 for Bermuda lawns and recommends lime according to soil-test results.
Weeds and thatch
Dense Bermuda is a major weed-control tool, but spring and fall pre-emergent timing still matters. UGA also notes dethatching when thatch exceeds one-half inch. Track dethatching, herbicides, and fertilizer in the app so the next season is easier to plan.
