Privacy
How Lawn Dominator handles data.
Lawn Dominator is operated by Lawn Dominators LLC. This policy explains what information the app and website process, why they process it, and the choices you have.
Information you provide
Account, lawn, and support data
We may process your name, email address, sign-in identifier, lawn and property names, grass type, lawn size, location, schedules, reminders, product inventory, application and yard-work logs, soil tests, diagnosis history, connected-controller details, deal preferences, and messages or product requests you send us. Apple or Google supplies sign-in information when you choose that provider.
Device and cloud storage
Local records and signed-in sync
The app stores settings and lawn records on your device. When you sign in, supported records sync through Firebase so they can follow your account across devices. Optional iCloud backup files are stored in your own iCloud Drive. Progress photos are kept on-device unless you include them in an iCloud backup, submit them to an online feature, or otherwise choose to send them.
Location and weather
Weather, maps, timing, and nearby activity
With your permission, the app may process precise coordinates or a place you enter to find weather, soil temperature, growing degree days, hardiness zone, spray conditions, nearby weather stations, maps, and community pest activity. A saved property location may sync to your account and may be sent to our notification or watering services when you enable those features. You can deny location permission and enter a location manually where supported.
Photos and AI
Diagnosis uses images you select
When you request an AI lawn diagnosis, selected photos, your description and answers, a user or device identifier, and the resulting diagnosis are sent to our hosted diagnosis service and its model providers. If you submit feedback, the selected image and diagnosis context may be retained to review and improve the feature. AI results can be wrong; always verify product labels and important decisions.
Connected services
Watering and weather-provider credentials
If you connect an irrigation controller, moisture sensor, personal weather station, or home-automation service, the app processes the provider details, zones, readings, schedules, run history, and credentials needed to connect. Credentials are stored in protected device storage. For providers that support cross-device sync or server-side watering, credentials and configuration are also stored by our cloud services so the feature can operate. Some provider credentials are deliberately device-only.
Purchases, ads, and analytics
Operating and funding the app
Apple, Google Play, and RevenueCat process purchase and subscription information so we can provide and restore premium access. The free version may use Google AdMob for ads. On iOS, Meta app events may measure app opens, onboarding, feature use, and ad activity. These services may receive device identifiers, advertising identifiers when permitted, IP address, app interactions, consent choices, and purchase or ad-event information under their own policies. Ad personalization and tracking depend on your consent, device settings, and applicable law.
Other providers
Services that make features work
We use service providers for authentication and cloud sync, hosting and databases, weather and geocoding, maps, push notifications, AI diagnosis, barcode and product lookups, advertising, analytics, purchases, and customer-connected watering or weather systems. They process information on our behalf or under their own terms as needed to provide the feature you request.
Website
Basic site usage and account deletion
The website may receive standard request data such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps through hosting logs and privacy-focused site analytics. If you use the web account-deletion page, Firebase and your chosen Apple or Google sign-in provider process authentication data so we can verify and delete the correct account.
How we use information
Provide, secure, and improve Lawn Dominator
We use information to provide requested features; authenticate and sync accounts; calculate lawn guidance; deliver notifications; process purchases; show and measure ads; troubleshoot, secure, and improve the service; answer support requests; comply with law; and prevent abuse. We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising partners may receive identifiers and usage data for advertising or measurement when permitted; some privacy laws call this “sharing” or targeted advertising.
Retention and security
Kept only as needed
Local data remains until you remove it, clear app data, or uninstall the app, subject to device and backup behavior. Account and feature data remains while your account or the feature is active and for a reasonable period needed for security, support, legal, or operational purposes. Provider retention may also apply. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no storage or transmission system is guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your choices
Permissions, ads, access, and deletion
You can change location, camera, photo, notification, and tracking permissions in device settings. Where shown, Ad Privacy Choices lets you review advertising consent. You can disconnect connected services, sign out, edit many lawn records, and delete your account in Settings. You may also delete your account at lawndominators.com/delete-account. Deleting an account does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription.
Children and changes
Not directed to children under 13
Lawn Dominator is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We may update this policy as the service changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required.
